According to the chief, the location has no police patrol car a situation he said has hampered the war on crime.

He observed that the location relies on a police patrol vehicle from Juja.

Nyoike stated that it has been difficult for his officers to respond to cases of emergency.

“We want to appeal to the Juja Sub county deputy commissioner to hear our cries and allocate a police patrol vehicle for us,” he said during a public baraza at Witeithe on Wednesday.

Nyoike said that criminals had taken advantage of the situation to increase their criminal’s acts.

The chief said that they will continue to crackdown on criminals. He called on residents to work with him to tame criminal activities.

He noted that cases of crime had drastically reduced in the location thanks to the Nyumba Kumi security initiative.

Reacting to the request by the Witeithe chief, Juja Sub county deputy Commissioner Muthama Wambua said that police vehicles will be allocated to all locations and sub locations.

He said that the government is keen to boost security at the grass root levels.

The Juja DCC urged chiefs to ensure law and order are maintained in their localities of representation.
