Children, women and men walked along the streets as they counted down the seconds, waiting for the New Year, lying to rest the exhaustion of 2014 that had a lot they want to forget.

According to Mwangi Kimani, one of the area residents, false churches, which lure believers by false prophesy is one incident that he would like to forget and hope the New Year brings God’s blessings.

He said that with the New Year, full of new resolution, the government should be vigilant in taming false and cultic churches in Kenya.

Another resident complained of the terror attack in 2014, where many people died in the hands of Al Shabaab Militias, leaving families devastated.

“The government should tighten up security in Kenya this 2015 since we don’t want the repetition of Kapedo Massacre and Mandera, where Kenyans lost their loved ones,” he noted.

Sharon Momanyi complained of cases where women were stripped in different parts of the country for allegedly dressing inappropriately, noting that the government should ensure such scenes are not witnessed.

“I am happy that the government has tightened up the issue of women being stripped publicly and the 20 years jail term is enough for those hooligans,” she said.
