Siaya Senator James Orengo cited that the war of occupation is very hard to maintain and it high time Kenya withdrew its troop from Somalia.

Speaking at the funeral of the late educationist Grace Ogot in Yala gem Sub-county, Orengo noted that countries like America, who withdrew from Somali a few years ago, and are now withdrawing from Yemen and Iraq due to the harsh consequences.

Rarieda MP Nicholas Gumbo warned that the country is in the grip of security cross cord, and a time has come for the country to come together in fighting corruption.

Gumbo and Seme MP James Nyikal said that the government should pay serious attention to foreign intelligence reports arguing that as it is now their intelligence is better than ours.

Ugenya MP David Ochieng, on the other hand said that the insecurity in the country is greatly contributed by the massive corruption, hence citing the need to curb insecurity with swift.

The late Grace Ogot died on March 18 2015 at Nairobi hospital. She was the first woman to be elected as MP in Gem.

Various educationist and leaders who attended her burial eulogized her as a great academician who contributed greatly to the education sector in the country and in the world.
