A section business community drawn from Kisii County has called upon NASA flag bearer Raila Odinga to withdraw his allegations against Safaricom and apologise to the largest telecommunication in Kenya.

Led by their chairperson Evans Tundura the group said that Raila’s tension tactics have brought the businesses in Kisii to a standstill and his latest claims against Safaricom will scare investors.

Speaking at a Kisii Hotel on Wednesday morning the group said Raila should stop blame games and hit the road for campaigns just like his competitor Uhuru Kenyatta and let Kenyans decide who will be the president.

“NASA’s chief Raila should know that the economy is currently sinking due to politics and its high time that he keeps calm and let Kenyans move on,” said Tundura.

This comes barely a day after Raila claimed that one of Safaricom's VPNs terminated transmission of results, cutting links between KIEMs kits and IEBC servers hence making NASA lose votes.

However, later on in a press statement, Safaricom’s CEO Bob Collymore dismissed the claims.
