Police have been ordered to investigate allegations of a coverup in an accident involving musician Charles ‘Jaguar’ Njagua.

The crash killed two men at Rukanga shopping centre on the Sagana-Makutano highway.

Jaguar has claimed that he was driving the range rover at the time of the accident.

A witness has come forward to claim that he saw Jaguar switch seats with a woman who was driving the car.

“From the windscreen, I saw a woman on the wheel exchanging the seat with a man. Then the man alighted from the right side while the woman came out from the left,” said the worker who did not want to be named.

Public prosecutions director  Keriako Tobiko wrote to the criminal investigations head Ndegwa Muhoro to investigate the claims.

“It is alleged that there is a cover-up on the identity of the driver who caused the fatal accident,” reads the statement signed by deputy prosecutor Nicholas Mutuku.
