A woman in Ogembo, Gucha, Kisii County has accused her husband of hiring goons to kill her so that he can marry another woman who he has been having an affair with.
The woman only is known by one name, Kemunto said her husband who is a teacher in one of the schools has been making efforts to divorce her but in vain.
“He has tried to divorce me so that he can marry another woman who is also a teacher but in vain. All his plans will not work because we have children together and when he was in college I stood by him, paying school fees and providing shopping. He wants to divorce because I don’t have a job. The same people he hired to kill me came and told me how a deal has been planned to eliminate me,” she said.
She said she is not ready to move out of her matrimonial home.
“My parents helped us when we had nothing. Now the family has grown and I am not ready to abandon my children for another woman. He will be held responsible if anything bad happens to me,” she added.
