Speaking to the press on Thursday at his office, Nakuru police boss Bernard Kioko said that the four men who have since gone into hiding were with the deceased woman the night before she was found dead in her house.

Kioko said that the four were said to have been spotted drunk in company of the woman before they escorted her to her house, raped her and killed her before fleeing.

“The middle-aged woman was said to have been with four men the night before her death where they attended a general meeting in Mwariki before proceeding to a bar where they got drunk. They then escorted the woman back to her house before they gang raped her and killed her. The woman was found half naked at the entrance of her house in the morning,” said Kioko.

Kioko added that the woman’s body was found by her 11-year-old son who informed neighbours who later alerted the police.

“The son came back in the morning and found her mother dead and he called the neighbours and the good thing is that the son knows the men who were with her mother the previous night. We are looking for them and we are confident we will catch up with them,” said Kioko.

The woman’s body was taken to the Nakuru County mortuary.
