There was a drama at the KCB Ruiru branch as a woman was caught on the CCTV cameras stealing from a client.
The woman identified as Nancy Muthoni was accused of stealing Sh30,000 from a client's handbag as she was filling in a deposit slip.
The CCTV footage showed the woman was working in a group of three other women but the other two escaped.
The bank manager took her round, carrying a tag around her neck bearing words 'I Am A Thief', to all the banks in Ruiru town to alert people of the cartel of thieves which parade as clients.
The lady was later handed over to the police and is set to be arraigned in court.
Ruiru OCPD Isaac Thuranira confirmed the incident and warned bank clients to be cautious of cons particularly, this time, they are paying school fees.
"I want to urge parents and M-Pesa attendants to be extra vigilant as there cons roaming around with intent to defraud them," warned Thuranira.
