Confirming the incident, the head of Nyumba Kumi initiative in the area Benson Muema Munywoki said they found the illicit brew during the brew crackdown.

"We have been working closely with Mwala OCPD Henry Kimathi to ensure that the illicit brew is completely evicted from our areas," said Munywoki.

Munywoki further stated that during the evening crackdown, the community group had poured over 20 litres of illicit brew in Kyaume area although the culprits managed to escape.

"We will not hesitate to fight law breakers in our communities who not only put their lives at risk but are encouraging drunkard generation," he added.

The woman was taken to Mwala police station and is expected to be arraigned in court on Monday.
