A woman suspected to have killed two dogs belonging to her neighbor is nursing injuries at Gucha hospital after being attacked.
The incident happened in Nyamokenye village Bogiakumu, Bonchari constituency Kisii County on Saturday morning.
"Residents told Hivisasa that the man only identified as Oswago who owns the dogs attacked the lady with a machete.
"The man attacked the lady with a machete and killed her on the spot. We all know that he loves the dogs so much," said Stephen Nyangore.
Area chief Charles Ayuma confirmed the incident and said that it is not clear why the woman murdered the carnivores.
"All we know is that the dogs were poisoned and we shall do thorough investigations to find out who did it," he said.
He also said that the suspect after committing the crime presented himself to the police.
