The owner of the car at the centre of an incident in which suspected vehicle thieves stripped naked in Mombasa has demanded Sh100,000 from the two men accused of making away with her car.

On Wednesday, residents of Bamburi in Mombasa woke up to drama after two suspected car thieves stripped naked after allegedly stealing a vehicle.The owner of the vehicle, a light skinned lady said she would not prefer any criminal charges against the two suspected thieves.“The car has been recovered, the thieves have been nabbed,” the unidentified lady told journalists.“I don’t need a case, the only thing I want the world to know is that there are bad and good people. The thieves are in the police station. I am waiting for them to come out and give me my Sh100,000.”She claimed she paid Sh100,000 to the witchdoctor who helped her recover the vehicle.The drama unfolded after the two suspected car thieves were attacked by ‘evil spirits’.The two had allegedly stolen a Nissan car and were driving towards Bamburi Mtambo from Bamburi Mwisho.Surprisingly, they stopped the car, parked it outside a clinic, got out of it, undressed and begun bathing in a nearby pool of mud water.A snake was also allegedly following them. They picked up the snake and started talking to it.However, some eyewitnesses said they recognised the car, which they said belonged to a man living near Anwarali, in Kisauni.
