A 30 -year -old woman was on Monday arraigned in a Nakuru Law Court to face two counts of criminal offences including maliciously causing damage to personal property and assault.
The court under the precision of Chief Resident Magistrate Felix Kombo heard that on March 5 this year at around 6pm in Umoja Estate in Lanet within Nakuru town, Jane Kwamboka while armed with a metal object assaulted Victoria Wanjiku and inflicted serious bodily harm on her when she indulged in an act of malicious damaging of a vehicle that belongs to one Johnstone Kegode who was once her lover.
The Magistrate was told that on that material day, the accused who was in company of two other women, had spied on the complainants and traced them at an entertainment joint in Lanet before she indulged in the said unlawful acts.
The court heard that the accused had accosted the car park after the first complainant had left the second complainant inside to attend to a nature’s call and started damaging its windscreens.
The prosecution desk also said that Kwamboka had went ahead to physically attack Wanjiku when she tried to take cover inside the entertainment joint before she escaped on a motorbike taxi.
The accused, the court heard, was arrested on March 6 by Lanet Police Officers who had started investigating the matter after the complainants recorded a statement at the Police Station on that same day.
She denied the charges and was released on a Sh90,000 cash bond before the hearing of the case on March 31.
