A 45-year-old bar attendant commonly known as Mama Chepchum has landed herself in trouble after she reportedly chopped off her husband's 'Kapedo' and stabbed her 15-year-old son to avoid being questioned why she came late from work.
The incident happened on Tuesday at the Kesses area on the outskirts of Eldoret town.
Locals in the area say the woman's 46-year-old husband was chopped off his genitals as he questioned her when she arrived home late.
She also stabbed the 15-year-old son who was seated on a sofa set for allegedly making a lot of noise.
Villagers who heard the noise of the child quickly intervened but found the woman had already escaped leaving the man and son heavily bleeding.
"I heard a lot of noise from the house and running there I found the two lying mercilessly on the floor," said a neighbor.
The two were taken to the nearby Kesses dispensary for first aid before they were later transferred to the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital in Eldoret town.
"Luckily they were still bleeding only that they had lost a lot of blood," said another eyewitness.
Police officers were later called and managed to arrest the woman who was hiding in a nearby area.
