A woman committed suicide on Tuesday evening in Kerina village in Kisii South Sub-county after a disagreement with his husband leaving family members and area residents in shock.
According to the husband of the woman, they had a little quarrel before he came back home only to find her locking herself in the house .
“We had a small disagreement and we quarreled thereafter I left home to Kerina shopping center when I came home around 8:30 Pm I found my children outside and the door was locked from outside when we broke in we found her body dangling,” added the husband.
Confirming the incidents area assistant Chief Joseph Mosumari said the woman who was identified as Jackeline Moraa had bought a rope from the nearest shop little did the shopkeeper know she was going to take her life.
“This is very bad and I would like to call all residents to have a civilised way to solve their family issues instead of taking their lives,” he added.
Currently, the body is at Nyangena mortuary awaiting for postmortem.
