Residents of Boruma village Taraja Nyaribari Chache Kisii County were left in a rude shock after a married woman abandoned her sick husband and fled to her parental home.
Neighbors say that the woman only identified as Osebe who is a mother of one abandoned her husband after she took her to hospital.
"We are saddened by the woman'ss decision to leave her husband for home. Because of that we shall not allow her back here," said Ms Jane Nyabaro, a local.
Mr Zachary Morikwa the area Nyumba Kumi official confirmed the incident saying that the man has already passed on.
He said that it was unfortunate that the woman had already started showing signs of coming back home and they will not accept that.
"The woman ran away at a time her husband wanted her more and we shall not accept to see her here after the man died," he said.
"All we want is the woman to release her kids from her native home and let them witness the burial of their father," he added.
