A woman from Mathira Constituency, Nyeri County who delivered and named her newborn after President Uhuru Kenyatta has explained her rear decision.
Margaret Wairimu Mwangi said her decision was informed by her struggle to get a child after suffering four miscarriages.
She likened her struggles to the pain the President went through when he had a case to answer at the International Criminal Court at The Hague in relation to the 2007/2008 Post Election Violence.
"I am very happy to be a mother," she told Radio Jambo on Friday.
"I am naming him after the President because of the challenges I went through to get him, similar to those Uhuru had at the ICC," she added.
Wairimu who conceived recently through cesarean section said she had unsuccessfully tried to deliver after losing four pregnancies.
She said she is now a single mother after her husband left her for another woman because she struggled to get a child.
She hopes President Uhuru Kenyatta will come to her aid and educate "his namesake". She is also hopeful that Kenya's fourth President will aid her financially as she has no husband.
Wairimu said she plans to start a business to make a living that will enable her to take care of her only son, Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta.
