Nancy Moraa, a mother of two, who stays at Nyamage sub-location, Bobaracho in Kisii County is appealing to the relevant authorities to step in for her salvage.

Moraa’s ordeal started a fortnight ago when a stranger came to her place at around 2am flashing torch light inside her house, an act which inflicted fear in her.

“It was on Saturday at wee hours when a stranger came and started flashing lights in my housewithout uttering any word,’’ said Moraa.

Nyamage area Chief Sarah Esaboke however dismissed claims of insecurity in the area and said that police have been patrolling the area and she has not heard any issue concerning insecurity in Nyamage.

“I have spent my time patrolling together with police officers at night around the lady’s homestead, but I have not yet encountered such security threats,’’ claimed Chief Esaboke.

From the views of the locals, insecurity in the area has gone a notch higher, this is after suspected gang threatened to lynch a nearby neighbour on Wednesday night after she refused to give out what they wanted.

Jaqueline Mong’are, the area resident, confirmed how insecure they are following previous nights threats from suspected thieves. She now appeals to the area Ward Representative to take a quick action to improve the level of security in the area.

Efforts to reach the area Ward Representative Sammy Nyangena by this writer were futile since he could not be reached through his mobile phone.
