A woman in Bonyunyu has allegedly injured her daughter-in-law after she attacked her co-wife.

The lady is said to have engaged the co-wife in a fight after she uninvitingly showed up at their home.

The first wife left her home sometime back, leading to the husband marrying another wife.

On this particular day, the lady made her way back to her former home, only to be met by the second wife who ferociously attacked her.

She bit her neck without letting go, with the mother-in-law, who was feeding her cows forced to intervene and save the other woman.

That is when she attacked her with the panga she was using to feed her cows, injuring her should in the process.

The villagers have pointed an accusing finger at the woman for attacking the lady, saying she should have found a better way of saving the situation.

They have also demanded that the man in question put his house in order, saying he should be giving the direction of what he wants from both women.

The area assistant chief also weighed in, saying the woman did not intend to hurt her daughter-in-law but was only doing so to help the two.
