Neighbors said the couple has always been quarreling for some time now.
"The two have been quarreling at least daily we didn't expect their quarreling will lead to death," said Jared Ng'etich, a neighbor.
Area police boss Gideon Ombongi confirmed the incident and said the man identified as Katam was hit in the head with a blunt object by his wife after they disagreed.
“The man quarreled with his wife leading to a fight. The woman hit the man with a blunt object in the head. Neighbors rushed the man to hospital but succumbed to injuries,” said Ombongi.
Ombongi said the woman was arrested and will be arraigned in court on Monday to face murder charges.
He warned married couples against fighting each other.
“Couples should involve church elders and local government administrators to solve differences in marriage,” he said.
