A 30 year old woman is currently being held by police after she allegedly molested a 15 year-old visually impaired orphan.
Speaking at Kisii Central police station on Tuesday the boy alleged that Eveline Kemunto allegedly a notorious Chang’aa dealer visited their rental room on Monday night, undressed him sexually abused him.
“I shouted for help but noone came to my help," he said.
The victim alleged that he knew his assailant’s voice and that’s why he was able to identify her.
He claimed that the woman, a mother of 5, later threatened to kill him with a knife if he dared reveal the matter to anyone.
The minor said after the ordeal, he suffered abdominal and chest pains and urgently sought medication at a local dispensary.
Upon making a report to Embrace Inclusion, an NGO that advocates for the rights of disabled, the woman was arrested by Daraja Mbili AP officers before she was transferred to Central police station where she is being held.
Enock Sironga the Coordinator of the organization and some visually impaired persons marched to Central police station in solidarity with their colleague.
“We have recorded statements of a case of visually impaired boy who was seduced and sexually molested by a woman. We want the government to act quickly and ensure justice is served to this boy who just completed his class eight,” said Sironga
Confirming the arrest was Kisii County police commander Abdi Hassan who said they will ensure that the woman is arraigned in court later on today.
