Residents of Kiamogoba village Kisii County, are in a shock after a 70 years old woman suspected to be a witch, is in a critic condition after a 500 ml soda bottle was forcedly inserted into her private part.
This was realised after the woman's grandchild passed by to check on her when she found her groaning in agony. She decided to shout out loud to seek help.
A section of locals converged on the incident and realised that the bed the woman slept on, was soaked with blood.
Some of the clan elders who had arrived there summoned women to examine her, who found out that a bottle was inserted into her private part.
According to the women, the bottle had cracked at the base, which made it probable that the people who did it, used a hard object to hit while forcing it in, causing cracks.
Mr. Douglas Onsongo a local, told Hivisasa that the woman had been disturbing a certain household in the village. The households were fed up by the action that they conspired on how to catch the witch with the help of a witchdoctor they hired.
"The woman had caused sleepless nights to a household in the village, by constant hits on the doors and windows. They conspired on how to catch her by use of magic. The woman came as usual and started her scary actions before the caught her and inserted the bottle in her private part." Onsongo said.
"According to the ancient Kisii culture, when a witch is caught performing witchcraft is beaten without blood oozing. The beating should be designed in a manner that an ounce of blood is not observed as it can haunt them. This Is the reason why they inserted the bottle and left her to die slowly." Added.
The woman was rushed to the nearest hospital amid protests from some locals to be left to die as she was a threat to the village.
However, the clan elders pleaded with the locals to maintain the matter to themselves as they conduct a further probe on the cause of the bizarre incident.
They also said that they will carry cultural rituals to prevent any kind of jeopardy.
