According to the prosecution bench presided over by Resident Magistrate Patrick Mwaniki, Eunis Mukami who worked at a restaurant in Nakuru town was charged of threatening her employer for terminating her employment and refusal to pay her dues.

The court was told that through a phone text message, the accused threatened to physically injure the complainant.

The court heard that the accused had been dismissed from her waitress work at County yard restaurant after she failed to report to work for five days without any communication to her employer.

The court further heard that her employer had earlier warned the accused for similar offenses and for coming to work while under the influence of alcohol.

According to the complainant’s lawyer Philip Orina, the accused through the text message was a threat to the complainant's life as she could as well as commit the threats and disappear.

He requested the court not to allow the accused to be released on bond or bail but to remain in custody until the case is heard on December 8.
