A woman gave birth Tuesday as she waited to vote at the Konyau Mixed Secondary School polling station.

According to reports, the woman had stayed on the line for three hours when she developed labour pains.

The woman is said to have to have declined going to hospital opting for voting firs.

Kapchok MCA Peter Lokor said the woman delivered safely. The baby was named Hellen Chepkura, to mark voting in the general election.

Another woman had a stillborn at Kuwit polling station.
