Residents of Ngokoro area, Kisii County are in a shock after a middle-aged Woman paid assassins to execute her son-in-law.
After her attempts to stop her daughter from getting married to the late hit a dead end, she stalked the couple which had fleed to Nairobi to get a life.
The woman found out where the two lived and proceeded to get her daughter out of the marriage, claiming the man was too poor to marry her daughter.
"After stalking them to Nairobi, and managed to get off her daughter. She paid some assassins to kill the man. After killing him they sprayed an acid on his face. She did this to prevent her daughter from going back to the man." Dennis Omambia a boda-boda rider opined.
The neighbours of the late confirmed that the woman was seen around the plot where the late lived after she forcedly pushed her daughter out, the day before.
On Friday, angered boda-boda operators went to the home of the accused where they caused a massive destruction.
They burnt all the houses of the accused while strangling the cows with pangas.
After the incident, the accused ran away with her daughter rescuing themselves from death.
The police officers arrived at the scene and found all the houses burnt down and nothing was rescued.
The area Chief Titus Mochiemo asked the residents to be calm for the matter to be investigated. He also asked them not to take action before the matter is thoroughly investigated.
