Residents of Mochengo village, Nyacheki were left in a rude shock after a middle aged woman locked her aged father-in-law in her bedroom.
It is alleged the woman locked the man in her bedroom after the man demanded that he should sleep with her.
“He doesn’t respect me as his son’s wife. He has been requesting me to have sex with me on claims that I am beautiful and sweet.
"I have hidden for long exposing him but it is the right time I should speak out before he rapes me. He came to my bedroom and asked me to sleep with him saying I have stayed for long without sleeping with a man,” said the woman identified as Kerubo.
Kerubo said her husband works as a bodaboda rider and lives in Keumbu.
"My husband is away from home because he works as a rider at Keumbu where he stays. He comes home after two or three months but since January he has never come home due to unavoidable circumstances,” she said.
Flabbergasted neighbors said the incident shocked them since it is one of its kind in the village.
“We asked him to tell us why he was in his son’s bedroom he was unable to explain. We had to give him a thorough discipline.
"Elders have already been asked to hold a meeting to solve the matter on Friday,” said Fred Okeyo, a neighbor.
