A woman has been pulled out alive from the rubble of the building which collapsed in Huruma estate, Nairobi six days ago.

Rescuers found the woman at 11:47am this morning and she is said to be in stable condition with no visible injuries.

National Disaster Management Unit Incident Commander Pius Maasai said she is being attended to by doctors at the scene.

On Tuesday, a baby girl was rescued unscathed from the rubble, four days after the building collapsed.

Seven-month-old Dealeryn Saisi was found comfortably sleeping in a basin wrapped in a blanket.

The rescue of the woman brings the number of people pulled from the rubble since Friday to 137.

At least 33 have been confirmed dead so far with more than 50 others missing.
