An elderly woman in Marani Market, Kisii County left many in shock, after she tried to take her own life because of a family argument.
The lady almost took her life by throwing herself into a well, after a domestic fight with her husband, who works at a slaughterhouse in Marani.
The woman, accompanied by her daughter threatened to take her own life as a way of ending her troubles.
The woman accused the man of neglecting them, saying the man does not carry even some little meat for them from the slaughterhouse.
Village elders came to the rescue of the woman but said she will have to leave the area since she was about to commit a serious crime that could even lead to curses.
They also told the man to take care of his family, and ensure such accusations are not hear again, lest they throw them out.
