Kilifi Woman Representative Aisha Jumwa has endorsed Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Leader Raila Odinga as the National Super Alliance (NASA) flag bearer ahead of the August elections.
Addressing ODM supporters during the launch of her nomination campaigns, Jumwa urged Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi, Wiper Party Leader Kalonzo Musyoka and Ford Kenya leader Moses Wetangula to pave way for Raila to unseat the Jubilee government.“The NASA flag bearer is Raila. Whoever is shaking within NASA is doing so out of his own greed and should remain within the alliance or be treated as a betrayer,” Jumwa said, as quoted by The Star.Jumwa also called upon the co-principals to avoid betrayal for the sake of Presidency.According to Jumwa, it will be an uphill task for the opposition to rise to power if the issue of betrayal arises within the alliance.Jumwa’s remarks come after Wiper leader Kalonzo claimed that Jubilee and a section of NASA officials of paying pollsters to influence who becomes the NASA flag bearer. All the four co-principals have insisted they will beat President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto if given the mandate to be NASA's flag bearer.
