Gure wants locals to scrutinize aspirants eyeing seats before voting for them.

Addressing supporters at Masalani in Garissa on Wednesday, Gure said that some aspirants have no agenda and manifesto and should not be voted to office.

The Woman Rep warned locals against voting for non-performers, saying they are the reason the county has lagged behind in development.

“We should vote for leaders who will carry and champion our development interests and dump those who only want to grab public resources,” she said as quoted by the Star.

Gure observed that some aspirants are seeking political offices to fulfill their selfish interests.

The Woman Rep also warned locals against voting for leaders who have questionable integrity. 

She said that corruption and misuse of public resources thrive when leaders who lack integrity and accountability are elected to office.

The Woman Rep  urged locals to shun  politicians  who perpetuate divisive politics. She called for tolerance and calm saying that the August polls will be peaceful.

Gure is seeking re-election and has exuded confidence of retaining the seat.
