An elderly woman is displeased with the release of her husband who was convicted for defiling their daughter.
The move to release the man by the Kisii law courts on bond forced the lady identified as Hellen Bironga to flee to her parents.
Her husband was arrested last year October and has been in remand since then.
However, the husband told Hivisasa that he has never raped his daughter and the claims were false.
"My wife started the claims and made it look serious, her decision to run away are purely a sign that she cannot be trusted," he said.
According to him his wife started the claims with aim pf having him jailed for life.
Ms Bironga on her side said she could not go on living with the man because she was the chief witness in the case.
Area assistant chief Benjamin Ayuma asked the woman to go back to her home as he assured her of her security
He also sais that noone could refer to the suspect as a criminal until found guilty by the courts.
