[Photo/nation.co.ke]A woman shocked residents of Botondo Nyamasibi Nyaribari Masaba Kisii County after she refused to bury her dead husband as required by Kisii tradition.A neighbor Daniel Nyaanga said the couple has been quarreling for some time. “The man always looked disturbed but the wife did not care about the condition of her husband. The man consumed Sulphuric acid and died at a Keroka hospital where he was rushed for treatment,” said Daniel Nyaanga.
He added that during the burial on Wednesday, the woman refused to step on the grave site and did not throw her husband soil as required in Kisii tradition.
He said the woman may face consequences since she is the reason why the man committed suicide.
