A 30-year-old woman on Monday evening stabbed her husband to death at Kiawara Township, Nyeri County.
Alice Wangu a bar attendant had separated from the deceased husband Samuel Mwangi over domestic issues and they were living separately before this incident occurred.
The deceased was stabbed when he paid Wangu a visit but found her with another man prompting a violent confrontation between Wangu, Mwangi and the third unidentified man.
Wangu is alleged to have picked up a kitchen knife and stabbed her estranged husband near the heart, killing him instantly.
She then alerted neighbors and confessed to the crime and was later arrested and detained at Kiawara police station.
Kieni West OCPD, John Kemboi confirmed the incident and said further investigations are being conducted.
“We are aware of the incident and further details will be shared as soon as we complete our investigations,” said.
