A woman has moved to court seeking to stop the burial of former Belgut MP Eric Keter.
Keter died on December 4 at the Nairobi Hospital where he was receiving treatment.
Rosemary Koros claims that she is the second wife of the late, stating that in 1996 they got married legally according to Kipsigis customs and have four children together.
In a sworn affidavit, Koros wants the family to cancel plans to bury Keter until the issue is heard and determined.
Charles Cheruiyot, the first wife's son, has been listed as the first respondent, his mother Rebbeca Chebii is the second respondent and Lee Funeral Home, where the body is being kept, has been named as the third respondent.
She further issued temporary orders for the funeral home not to release the body of the former lawmaker.
