Josephine Kajuju Muthee, a business lady from Nakuru, is the lucky winner of Kenya Charity Sweepstake Lotto Jackpot prize of Sh5,860,867.

Ms Muthee, who is a mother of two, was overwhelmed with joy when she received a call from Kenya Charity Sweepstake office informing her that she was the winner.

“I jumped, screamed and then prayed to thank God for the wonderful gift. It was like a dream to me and first I thought the caller had dialed a wrong number,” she said.

She is a small retail trader in Nakuru but despite the little income that she earns from the business, she was always hopeful that one day she will own her own house.

She intends to spend part of the cash to buy a plot and build a residential house.
