Ms Joyce Laboso, Ms Anne Waiguru and Ms Charity Ngilu are among three women leading in their respective gubernatorial races.

If the aspirants were to win they would be the first women governors in the country.

According to results in Bomet by the IEBC, Jubilee Party candidate Joyce Laboso leads with 149,976 votes.

Jubilee Party aspirant Ann Waiguru is also leading in Kirinyaga County with 149,979 votes.

Wiper Party Candidate Charity Ngilu leads the race for Kitui, with 93,205 votes.

Results are still updating but as it stands these three candidates are leading in their respective races.
