Women in Lari have hailed the fight against illicit brews saying most men in the sub-county have reformed.
Speaking in a women's meeting on Thursday, Lari Women Association chair lady Diana Weiteitha said the fight against illegal beer has changed the entire society especially family discipline.
She said that most men in the area had neglected their family duties and also some abandoning their families because of alcohol.
She revealed that most families were not complete and also domestic violence was still experienced.
However she said that now that illicit brew is being fought countrywide, the change is notable.
She said today, men wake up to go to casual work and also most of them have reconciled with their families hence bringing together people.
Weiteitha said that the fight has really revealed a different society and also said that some men later on have realised that they were indeed dying of the brew.
"Our children have role models now not like before where all they could see is drunkard men beating their mothers and separated families.We are glad and proud of our President for helping many families in this country," she said.
She also thanked the police and the area chief for ensuring that illicit brew is fought against.
