Women leaders in Meru have declared their unwavering support for President Uhuru Kenyatta.
The leaders vowed to conduct a door-to-door campaign and brush through homesteads to ensure that President Uhuru Kenyatta is reelected in the October 26 presidential election.
Speaking in Meru town on Friday, Meru Maendeleo ya Wanawake chairperson Kanana Nteere said the president has always pushed for the Kenyan unity.
"We have an elaborate campaign machinery system of 100 elected women leaders who are set to spearhead door to door campaigns in the 45 wards," she said.
She took issues with NASA leaders for giving the IEBC their special terms and conditions for participation in the election.
"The commission should be allowed to conduct credible elections without interference from any quarters."
