As the country nears the August 8, General Elections, a recent research finding by a top media house in Kenya has established that women voters prefer a Uhuru Kenyatta presidency compared to NASA flag bearer Raila Odinga.
The research that was conducted between May 2 and 14 by Radio Africa Group by Computer Aided Telephone Interview (CATI) involved 3,430 respondents in 28 counties.
It was interesting to note that Uhuru and Raila were even with male voters where they tied at 46 percent with only 7 percent falling in the undecided category.
What caught the eye is that Uhuru was the most popular among women voters with 51 percent of female respondents saying they will vote for him, compared to Raila's 42 percent.
In the overall results, Jubilee leads with 51 percent, compared to NASA's 42 percent and 7 percent remains undecided.
