Emurua Dikir MP Johna Ng'eno on Sunday shocked a crowd when he narrated why he is not yet married despite being an influential politician.
Speaking in political gathering in Sinendet, Kuresoi South where he accompanied MP Zakayo Cheruiyot , Ngeno said that majority of women rejected him because he had an eye problem.
"Before I decided to venture into politics, I already proposed my marriage to around four women. All of them rejected my offer. I was ugly because of my eye and at the same time I was charcoal burner, very broke," said Ngeno.
He said he will not marry until he retires from politics, citing that he want to concentrate on responsibilities assigned to him by his constituents.
"Many people have convinced me to marry, including the elders whom I really respect. However, I want to state that I will not marry till I retire from politics. I may face rejections by voters if I marry the same way I was rejected by women. But above all, I want to concentrate on building Emurua Dikir into a better constituency," he added.
