[Photo| Kenyawest]Busia county woman representative Florence Mutua has hit out at President Uhuru Kenyatta for thanking police for work they did during the election period. Uhuru in his commendation letter to the officers noted the officers had discharged their duty “professionally” and “in accordance with the law.”This despite several people including children losing their lives following the police brutality witnessed in the poll period. "Kenyans have eyes and ears. Baby Pendo, Mutinda and Moraa were not involved in the demonstrations but were shot by the police. The least we expected our president to say was that investigations will be done and the perpetrators have been arraigned in court," Mutua said over the weekend. The Nasa legislator asked Uhuru to demand the police killers to be taken to court."It is saddening for us mothers to give birth and our children die at tender ages. We say no police brutality and impunity. Uhuru come out and say our people were killed and killers have been taken to court," Mutua added.
