Nyamira County Women Representative Alice Chae has given solar powered lamps to the elderly people aged 80 years and above in all the wards within the county.

Speaking in Omogonchoro Catholic Church, Alice Chae called on the people to pray for peace to prevail in Kenya.

The women representative gave out lamps and soap to faithful of the church as Christmas gifts from her as a sign of love to the people of Nyamira.

“What we have come here to do is to show love as leaders to you people of Nyamira County and that is why we brought you these solar powered lamps and soaps Christmas gifts,” said Chae.

She gave out 48 solar powered lamps across the county with Magwagwa ward, Kiabonyoru ward, Esise ward, Manga ward receiving five solar lamps each as Omogonchoro where she celebrated her Christmas received 20 solar lamps and 300 detergents.

Chae called on all Kenyans to show love for one another especially during this festive season.

Kemera Ward Representative James Mating’a his Manga counterpart James Maroro who accompanied the Women Representative to the function also said that they will join hands with Chae for the development of the county and thanked her for the initiative of giving light to the elderly.
