The Nakuru County Women Rep Mary Mbugua has urged all the women in Nakuru County to use the Uwezo Fund properly to positively transform their lives.
Mbugua was speaking in Kuresoi Constituency where she disbursed Sh 8 million cheque to women's group in Kuresoi.
"I urge you to use the money for the intended purposes only. The proper use of this money will in turn encourage the national Government to increase allocation for the fund,” Mbugua said.
Mbugua urged the local leaders to encourage women to take management training to enable them acquire knowledge on how to manage the funds given to them.
"I kindly ask all the beneficiaries of the Uwezo Fund to make sure that they venture into viable businesses only so that they could not take long in repaying the funds,” said Mbugua.
She urged all the women in Nakuru County to form groups and to apply for the Uwezo Fund so that they could improve their standards of living.
"It is through forming groups that will make the process of requesting for Uwezo Fund easier. Tell your friends to form groups and apply for funds from Uwezo Funds,” said Mbugua.
