Baringo Women Representative Gladwell Cheruiyot has warned residents adverse cyber laws that were passed by the national assembly.
According to the women representative, the locals needed to be more careful when trending on the internet since it would be so costly should one be found on the wrong side of the law.
Through her official Facebook page, she noted that the laws where very punitive if one is found guilty of bridging them.
“Be warned that the Cyber Crime Bill has finally been approved and I feel I should let you know that it’s so punitive and can land many of us into trouble before we realize. This involves originating and forwarding offending charts,” noted Gladwell.
She added that sharing inappropriate pictures and videos would also land one in trouble.
Gladwell was among the MPs who actively contributed the motion citing how traumatized they get when they receive inappropriate content in their phones.
