The legislator apart from distributing food and non-food items to the residents also demonstrated her art of mastering her traditional practice of fetching water from the borehole by use of donkeys.

The practice involves loading of jerrycans onto the back of the beast of burden.

The legislator led a group of women armed, too, with the beast of burden and fetched water from a nearby borehole in the village amid ululation from the residents who were impressed by the MP's humble action.

However, the action by the Women Representative has stirred mixed reactions among the residents who issued their thoughts on the matter.

Hawa Omar, a mother of three, thanked the legislator for the humility and respect she has demonstrated to her constituents.

" It is not normal for a leader of her stature to indulge in such onerous work, but Anab has done it with humility and respect," quipped Hawa.

Hared Abdullahi also a resident hailed the legislator for maintaining her cultural practices.

"The Women Representative has shown us today that she indeed still respects and values her cultural practices and we are happy with that," said Haret.

Ali Kheir claimed that the legislator 's humility was the reason they voted for her.

" She is respectful and concerned and that is why we decided to give her the Women Representatives position," opined Ali.

Mumina Sheik thanked the MP and promised that she would re-elect her in the next election in the event she will vie because of track record.

"Personally am impressed by her good work and God willing am ready to re-elect in the even she will be vying," said Mumina.

Warsame Abdullahi commented that the MP was the "best" performing public servant in the Northeastern region.

"Indeed, she is the best performing Women Representatives in the northeastern region and we love her work and dedication towards her people's welfare," claimed Warsame.
