Well, a research carried out by Dr. Jeremy Nicholson Ph.D. for psychologytoday.com approves that indeed most women fancy a man with a well-groomed full beard. The research involved a group of sexually active women who were asked to rate faces of various males on the basis of attractiveness, masculinity, and dominance. The faces ranged from clean shaven, faces with a short beard to full bearded faces.
Majority of the participants expressed their desire for men with short and full beards as life partners because they perceived them as masculine, mature looking and most dominant. Dr. Nicholson states that women associate facial hair in men as a sign of high testosterone levels and healthiness, factors highly essential for a healthy sex life and relationship. He, however, advocates for the importance of discussing with your partner to establish beard lengths and formation that work for them.
