Rev John Okoyo said blame games will not solve the mystery of schools burning urging them to work together towards finding a lasting solution.

“We all have a responsibility as leaders of this country in ensuring that this issue of school fires is brought to an end,” he said.

He called upon the leaders to stop politicising the issue and work together to find a lasting solution.

“We should desist from this habit of seeking political mileage in very sensitive matters such as education. We should realise these are our children and not Jubilee or Cord. We should desist from politicking and blaming one another. The way forward is asking how we can address this issue,” he said.

He adds that it is unfortunate that the leaders of the country did not have the interests of its people at heart.

“I have been following up the issue of school unrests and the way our leaders are responding to it is really discouraging and not portraying a good image. We like attacking one another rather than finding solutions something that will ensure the unrests are addressed,” said Okoyo.
