Kisii county Governor James Ongwae has called upon all the county assembly members to team up with the county executives to ensure that they implement development programmes in the region.
According to the governor, there is money set aside for development and it is upon the county assembly members and executives to identify projects that are needed most by the community.
The governor called upon the MCAs to discharge their duties effectively and diligently and assured them that the county government was committed to improving the living standards of the local communities.
“If we all work together we will realise how easy we can achieve our goals and our residents will be happy,” he added.
He also called upon the leaders to work closely with his staff to avoid sideshows that might derail the development agenda.
The Governor further said his government has prioritised various development initiatives that will see the lives of Kisii residents improved both economically and socially.
