Speaking in Kiambu on Thursday Wathuita said that Kenyans have a role to play to fight insecurity.

Wathuita also urged the government to make sure North Eastern leaders name terrorist financiers and sympathisers in month’s time.

He says those rubbishing the leaders in their effort to assist the government in identifying the said groups could be sabotaging the war on terror.

"When a leader speaks, he must be listened to even if he speaks nonsense. In the 'nonsense' we could fetch something which could help us on war against terror,” said Wathuita.

At the same time he asked the government to work with elders in various communities on security matters saying they are the people in the grassroots and could be aware of some of these terrorists.
