Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has once again appealed to former Lands Cabinet Secretary (CS) Charity Ngilu to partner with the opposition ahead of the 2017 general election.
Kalonzo wants Ngilu to soften up and consider working with the opposition as it plots on how to send Jubilee government home in 2017.
According to the Star, the Wiper leader exuded confidence that Cord will form the next government in 2017.
“We want to have Charity Ngilu in our camp when we form the next government next year,” he said during a burial ceremony in Kathungu, Tseikuru on Saturday.
The Wiper leader added “I will continue to ask our sister Charity to work with us (Cord) as we chart way on how to send Jubilee government home in 2017.”
Musyoka said that there are no permanent enemies in politics adding that Ngilu’s articulation and approach of issues will help Cord to plan on how to win the 2017 polls.
The Wiper leader has on several occasions lured Ngilu to the opposition.
Ngilu who is the leader of Narc party was suspended as Lands CS over graft allegations last year.
The CS who is still battling court issues in regards to corruption allegations has been hinting on working with the opposition ahead of 2017.
She is among key experienced politicians the opposition has approached to form a National Super Alliance (NASA) which it says will dislodge Jubilee government from power.
Ngilu has so far declared interest to unseat Kitui governor Julius Malombe.
Speaking in Mwingi North on Sunday, Ngilu urged women in the area to back her Kitui gubernatorial bid.
She promised to champion for the rights and welfare of women and other locals without discrimination.
Ngilu accused the current Kitui leadership of allegedly denying locals access to services as provided for under the devolved government.
