Subukia Sub-county police boss Alex Maina has asked locals to cooperate with the police in order to tame insecurity.
Briefing the press at his office on Saturday, Maina said police work will be made easier if the locals provide their support.
The police noted that security remains a responsibility of every citizen and not the police alone.
“We want to ask the public to feel free and volunteer information that will help as arrest criminals,” he said.
Maina said various strategies have been put in place to guarantee safety of citizens.
The police boss warned criminals causing havoc in the area saying their days are numbered.
“Criminals should know that we will hunt them down from their hideouts,” he said.
Maina added that nothing would be left to chance in search of criminals adding that patrols will be conducted on 24 hour basis.
He also said they are working closely with the county government and the office of the county commissioner in implementation of security measures.
